TASCAM

TASCAM is credited as the company that invented the Portastudio, one of the first affordable multi-track home studio recorders. It is one of four divisions of Teac Corporation, headquartered in Japan.

People often refer to any brand of 4-track cassette recorders as "Tascams".

TASCAM produces GigaStudio, a software sampler.
