The author works primarily with influenza in the biotech industry as a liason to regulatory agencies. He was born in the northern Philippines and was raised there and in northern California, where he graduated university with a degree in biology. He is an avid genealogist, an aspiring writer, a world traveler, and an Ilocano enthusiast, supporting the rights of indigenous languages for targeted development. He loves history, politics, languages, sci-fi/fantasy, and all things nerdy. Hence, Wikipedia.
He encountered Wikipedia in 2003 and created his first article on the Ilocano language. Fittingly, he recently proposed the creation of an Ilokano Wikipedia and began constructing its first pages.
