Tarquine Iquar

Tarquine Iquar, is the Minister of Finance and a key player in the politics of the Eubian Concord in Catherine Asaro's novels regarding the Saga of the Skolian Empire.

A well-known Highton, Tarquine buys Kelric from Azar Taratus for 14 million credits. She reveals to him that she can no longer trascend. She had her Kyle Afferent Body removed from her brain because she began to hate how her transcend inflicted pain on others but could not resist the temptation of transcendence.

Tarquine was also highly involved in the platinum scandals and in the assassination of the ESComm joint commanders Taratus and Kaliga.

This powerful woman becomes the Empress of Eubian Concord by marrying Jaibriol III.
