Tarak Dhiab (Arabic: طارق دياب‎, born July 15, 1954) is a former footballer from Tunisia. Rated as one of their greatest player ever, he was allegedly capped 107 times for his country. Note that this number has not been ratified by FIFA. Thanks to his uncle Hedi Dhiab native of Halfaouinethe heart beat of Esperance he found in Tarak an ideal physics and discipline for the game, he taught him to use both legs since the age of three, Tarak is the offspring of the real Esperantist quarter Halfaouine Rue Essouahel, Tarak dreamed of joining Esperance, it was his dream, he was born to play for Esperance, His Uncle AM EL HEDI swiftly signed him with EST. It was the perfect match.

Tarak was very intelligent and decisive with his passes, he scored some wonderful goals, he got on very well with Temime Ben Abdallah Ne:Lahzami, they were Esperance favourite duo, they were telepathic, they could read each others mind.

Without any exaggerations Tarak was probably the best midfielder N:10 in the world. In the 70s and 80s people came to watch this wonderful player regardless whether they supported Esperance or not. Tarak Dhiab simply the best and no one in Tunisia or elsewhere have ever seen something quite like him before. Tarak's younger brother Lassad Dhiab also followed his footsteps and joined Esperance he was an excellent player, But nothing like Tarak Dhiab the golden boy of Tunisia.

Dhiab was awarded the France Football African Footballer of the Year title in 1977 and played a pivotal role in helping Tunisia qualifying for the 1978 FIFA World Cup, its first Football World Cup. His clubs include Espérance Sportive de Tunis and later in his career joined Al-Ahliof Saudi Arabia. He's now an International Football Expert and Also Football analyst with ART. As well as a successful businessman.
