Tangerhütte is a town in the district of Stendal, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is situated on the river Tanger, approx. 20 km south of Stendal.

Tangerhütte is the seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Tangerhütte-Land, which consists of the following municipalities (population in 2005 between brackets):
