Tana Kirkos

Tana Kirkos (also Tana Cherkos or Tana Cherqos) is an island in Lake Tana in Ethiopia. It is considered a holy island, and only Christian monks live there. The monks believe that the island was once the resting place of the Ark of the Covenant.
