I'm pretty sure that the correct name of the TPDF is the "Tanzanian People's Defence Force". Unless anyone tells me otherwise, I'll move this article in a few days. StockholmSyndrome 18:36, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

According to the Statesman's Yearbook and the Defense & Foreign Policy Handbook (which are both usually accurate), it is "Tanzanian People's Defence Force". The laws of grammar mean that there must be an apostrophe in there somewhere ("People's" or "Peoples' "). Can you can find an official Tanzanian source that proves it one way or the other?
