Tamworth railway station (Ordnance Survey grid reference SK213044) serves the Staffordshire town of Tamworth. At its location, the Cross Country Route and the West Coast Main Line (Trent Valley Line section) cross each other, although there is no rail link between the two lines.

There are two levels. The high level (platforms 3 and 4) is on the Cross Country Route served by Central Trains and Virgin Cross Country services. The high level crosses over the low level (platforms 1 and 2), which is situated on the West Coast Main Line.
