Tamba, Hyogo

Tamba (丹波市; -shi) is a city located in Hyogo, Japan.

The city was formed on November 1, 2004 from the merger of all six towns of the former Hikami District: Aogaki, Ichijima, Kaibara, Kasuga, Sannan and Hikami.

As of September 1, 2004 population data the city has an estimated population of 71,518 and a density of 145 persons per km². The total area is 493.28 km².

Tanba is a very small city, but Tanba has very beautiful mountains and rivers and nature.Rivers are many fishs. Hikami is the biggest town in Tanba.Hikami is a lot of shop and food shop. Aogaki is the best beautyful nature in tanba. Paragliders are very populate in Aogaki. Aogaki is a lot of wilding. Aogaki is many agriculturists. They grow rice and vegetables and so on. It is very delicious. Tanba has many delicious food. For exsample, chestnuts and black bean and so on. Chestnuts are very sweet. Going chestnuts gathering are very joyful. Kaibara's sign is keaki tree. The tree is conjectured the age of a tree thousand year. The tree is very beautiful and very big. Kasuga has a Kuroi castle. Tanba has many shrine. Especially, Hachiman shrine is very old. The shrine has many history. The shrine is an important culutual property. The shrine is very populate in tanba.
