[edit] Overview

Tamama is two years old and the youngest member of the Keroro Platoon, as well as the resident close-combat fighter. He is a small black (blue in the anime) Keronian tadpole. His symbol is a mirror image of the wakaba, the Japanese symbol for a new driver. Despite his cuteness and lovableness he is very short tempered and when angered, he changes into an alternate personality who is very violent. Like Keroro and Dororo, Tamama's fighting style uses energy-based attacks, primarily his Tamama Impact. Tamama's main obsession are sweets such as pastries and cola. He idolizes Kerero, but hates Mois due to her crush on Keroro and her hogging all of Keroro's attention. Tamama's main goal in life is to be strong enough to give Mois a major beatdown and become Keroro's best friend (possibly more...). He is under the care of the short-tempered billionare girl Momoka Nishizawa, who also has an alternate personality much like Tamama's. Unlike Giroro and Kururu, he has no weapons (and is a terrible shot besides but uses a small hammer for close range attacks), relying on his own impressive power in battle. Despite his somewhat spoiled life with Momoka, he has his own training room in the Nishizaki mansion - although he trains mostly out of his desire to beat Mois.

[edit] Attacks

  • Tamama Impact: Tamama exhales a stream of yellow energy. Tamama's signature attack. Its weakness is that the opponent can clearly see his mouth.
  • Multiple Tamama Impact: Same as the ornginal one but mutiples fires! From Keroro Gunso Movie
  • Double Beam: A massive barrage/stream of energy is fired from Tamama's eyes.
  • Hyper Tamama Impact: A powered-up version of Tamama Impact.
  • Neo Tamama Impact: A powered-up version of Tamama Impact. Featured in the Manga, this attack is much like the attack that Ness uses in Super Smash Brothers. Tamama creates a large beam and is able to direct it towards a target. In the manga, he uses it to hit himself to make himself stronger.
  • Jelousy Ball: Tamama throws a multi-colored ball created from his jelousy.
  • Keroro Platoon's Super Deathblow: The energy ball created by Kururu is transported by Tamama, Giroro, Keroro and finally Dororo will shoot the ball to the enemy. The ball makes the enemy unable to dodge. Used in Episode 13. Very obvious parody of the Goranger Storm.
  • Shinku Tamama-Ken: Shoots a stream of multi-colored energy from his hands. Used in episode 33 only
  • Ninja Art: Spirit of the Evil Wandering: A Tamama Impact powered-up by ninja arts. A homophone of "Tamama Impact."Used in the Episode 37 only.
  • Turbo Stream Attack: Keroro, Tamama, Giroro, and Kururu jump into the air and form a sky dive formation and spin like a drill towards the enemy. Used in the second episode of Episode 41 only and also needs Keroro, Giroro, and Kururu to perform.
  • Multiple Tamama Impact: Tamama inhales to increase his upper body strength then returns to normal after releasing a massive barrage of Tamama Impacts. Only used in the first movie.
  • Zaku II-Style: During the Caries War, Tamama wields a Zaku II-style machine gun and a massive "Dental Buster" drill, but is inaccurate with both.
  • Dental Buster: During the Caries War, Tamama wields a massive drill.
  • Spinning Tamama Impact: Tamama fires multiple, shorter Tamama Impacts that curve slightly. Its weakness is the same as the non-spinning version's, as the opponent is still able to see Tamama's mouth.
  • Jelousy Tamama Impact: When Keroro turned his attention to Mois during Tamama's training to defeat Paul, Tamama's anger and jealousy allows him to insert a Jealousy Ball into his Tamama Impact, changing its color to red and allowing it to change its course, unlike a regular Tamama Impact. In addition, the explosion created by the blast is large enough to hit up to around 4-5 meters away from the target. However, the appearance of Mois, who appears to help Keroro later in the episode, caused Tamama to lose control of the attack, making it hit himself.
  • Kumamoto Fists: Tamama preforms a seres of punches. Episode 50 only.
  • Kagoshima Fists: A stronger version of Kumamoto Fists. Episode 50 only.
  • Okinawa Fists: A stronger version of Kagoshima Fists. Episode 50 only.
  • Aichi Fists: A stronger version of Okinawa Fists. Episode 50 only.
  • Okayama Punch: A stronger version of Kumamoto Fists. Episode 58 only.
  • Tamama Chop: Tamama preforms a powerful chop. Episode 58 only.
  • Tamama Kick: Tamama preforms a powerful kick. Episode 58 only.
  • Jelousy Shot: During the soccer episode (and just training), Tamama transfers his jelousy in the soccer ball then he brutaly kicks it. Used in both episodes of episode 42 only. A boy who Tamama befriends from the second episode of episode 42 used a green version of Jelousy Shot.
  • Ultimate Tamama Impact: When in his "super form", Tamama uses a far more powerful version of Tamama Impact. Episode 103 only.
  • Super Wave (unnamed): When in his "super form" Tamama negates every nearby attack and sends out a massive burst of energy from his hand. Episode 103 only.
  • Hammer: Tamama wields a small orange and red hammer so he can attack silently when the enemy's gaurd is down instead of blowing his cover by using one of his noisy nergy attacks. Episode 132.

[edit] Pekopon Suits

  • Pekopon Suit Mk.II: A suit designed by Tamama and built by Kururu. Its purpose is to blackmail Moa Angol with dirty pictures of her so she will give Tamama the chance to hang out with Keroro more often. The manga style is a porte black android suit with a hidden camera but the anime gives it the style of a macho, muscular man with an Ideon effect in its sunglasses. *Note: Keroro also has his own version of the anime version.
  • Humanoid Tamama Suit: A suit that bears small resemblance to Tamama but in human form. Manga only.
  • Festival Kiosk Manager Suit: A suit for the Japanese festival that was to be used to occupy the mask stand.

[edit] Forms

  • Super Tamama: The full extent of Tamama's power that he gains by gaining the power of the Golden Rhinocerous Beetle. He is engulfed in a golden aura and is given the ability to fly. This form is unnamed.
  • Tamama Taicho/Captain Tamama: In book six of the Manga, Tamama dons a brown general's uniform, and becomes much crueler than usual. In episode 22 of the television show, the outfit is purple. In this form, Tamama is well able to conceal his feelings for Keroro, sometimes getting rid of them completely.

[edit] Trivia

  • Like any child, Tamama dislikes being left out
  • Tamama has multiple-personality disorder. It is unclear whether he truly has two personalities(cute and insane) or if he is just extremely sensitive, as sometimes he cannot remember being the "insane" Tamama, when in other cases, he flips back and forth so much that it seems that he can remember clearly being both.
  • In Japanese, tama means "ball" or "bullets." The name Tamama is mainly an abbreviation of o-tama-jakushi (="ladle" or "tadpole"). Also,"tamatama" means "Unexpected" or "Unpredictably," reflecting Tamama's personality.
  • Tamama often ends his sentences with "desu~", meaning "it is", though his inflection is considered cute.
  • Can apparently drink very heavily without becoming too intoxicated, in the Manga at least. (Which then lead to him revealing that he'd like to have a "dangerous and love-love" relationship with Keroro...)
  • As part of his "cute" personality, Tamama gives his human friends nicknames.
  • Tamama's relationship with Keroro is much more intimate in the manga, where he even kisses Keroro.
  • Tamama often passes wind that's smell is appearantly one of his weapons.
  • Tamama can't clench or close his eyes on cue.
  • In episode 123, it is revealed that Tamama feared his cute looking self most.
