[edit] Henry Moore
You're right, I missed that. I'm sorry. I really need to stop leaving snide comments in summaries. The editing documentation is far to copious to memorize entirely, and as long as it all works out in the end, that's all that matters. 24.17.48.241 22:15, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

I've expanded that stub you wrote on Chester Racecourse and submitted a fact from it to Did You Know?. If you have any photos (not free-use images; they aren't valid on DYK), please upload it. smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 20:35, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Moving pages
Hi. I notice you attempted to move Jonathan Trelawney to Jonathan Trelawny earlier. Unfortunately, you moved this by changing the existing page to a redirect and cutting-and-pasting the original text into the other page; doing this is a problem, as it means that the page history is not known, which causes problems with our copyright licensing under the GFDL - it requires authors are credited.
I've fixed this, by deleting the page you copied it to - it was only a redirect, so not important - and moving the old page to the new spelling. This means the page history moves with it, preventing people from not being credited, and (hopefully) everything's fine.
If you encounter a situation like this in the future, where you can't move a page because of an existing one, please feel free to leave a note at Wikipedia:Requested moves and someone will sort it out.
Hope that makes sense... Shimgray | talk | 22:00, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Borgnearms.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Borgnearms.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Dethomas 01:02, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Pasty2.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Pasty2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Penwith Wikiproject
Would you be interested in joining out wikiproject on Penwith?. I've been looking through some of your stuff and you seem to know what you're talking about. The plan is to bring all of the Penwith articles up to a decent standard, a maybe get some feature quality article too in time, as at the moment its a bit of a wikipedia backwater, and an embarrassement to the county! There is plenty to do, even if you are not immediately familiar with the local area and we could use someone with your wikiskills! ;) Mammal4 19:14, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

- Thats great I'll add your name to the project page. What needs to be done? I suppose the question is really what are you good at? There is so much work that needs to be done that you can take your pick. All of the parish pages need to be brought up to scratch. I've put a list on the project page, with notes briefly describing what I think is missing - this is a lot as these are mostly stubs still. You could either adopt one of these and flesh it out considerably, or go to each parish and add a common section. reedgunner is our residient local government expert (an ex mayor of Penzance). He is going through all the parishes and added a local government section. The plan is to bring a couple of these pages up to featured article quality, St Buryan is my baby, and where I've put the most work in. Although its still quite a way from FA quality, it might give you an idea of some of the sections that we think all the pages should have; there is also a proposed list of parish headings on the project page. Then there is a list of red links for villages and hamlets that need to be filled in that have no info yet on the projcect page. Any SPAG work is also appreciated, as my spelling isn't great ;) We also need photos for most of the pages -I have added a few, and intend to get out and about in the summer and do a few more, but help is always good! take your pick! Glad to have you on board the Penwith wikiproject Mammal4 12:32, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Hello Phil - Thanks for joining the Penwith Geography project - Good to see you aboard!! Reedgunner
[edit] Restormel
Nice parish map at Restormel. Are you intending to produce a numbered version like that at Penwith. This would not only add consistency, but would also mean we could move the parish list into the infobox and make the article tidier! I'm happy to add the numbers and do the editing if you're not interested - I just didn't want to step in too quickly in case you were in the process of doing it already! Mammal4 10:45, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- I've numbered the map. Could you give it a once over if you have time to check that the parishes match up to the numbers (I'm not so familiar with some of them!) Mammal4 20:41, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks for the Barnstar - its nice to feel appreciated! :) Mammal4 21:09, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Nav boxes
Nice work with the Nav boxes at Restormel. We should knock up a few for the other districts asap and decide on a consistent format/style for all the boxes. Mammal4 07:41, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- I liked yours so I borrowed (edited) them, (hope you didn't mind). I happy to tackle another district. I didnt include George flag but thought the Restormel map looked more neutral if you know what i mean ;)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Restormel.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Restormel.gif. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Also, with this image, you tagged it with {{PD-old}}, meaning that the artist has been dead for 100 years. The image itself references the years of the subject's presidency being 1916-1921, which would imply that the artist has not been dead for 100 years. BigDT 00:12, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

I noticed that you had removed orphanbot's nosource tag and replaced it with two obviously incorrect tags. Please note that this is not an acceptable way to prevent the image from being deleted. BigDT 00:17, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Template:User loves jackrussells
Hi Talskiddy,
As part of the German userbox solution, would you be willing to move "Tempate:User loves jackrussells" to your userspace? If you are but aren't sure about the details, I can do it for you and let you know when the changes are made. Or, I can move it to my userspace, where most of the other pet boxes are located. The biggest difference you'll notice is it won't be listed at Wikipedia:Userboxes/Pets, which is in the process of being userfied. However, it still will be listed at the larger directory, User:Rfrisbie/Userboxes/Pets. Let me know what you think. Regards, Rfrisbietalk 18:38, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Rfrisbie, I have just added my userspace User:Talskiddy/Userboxes have I done it right? Talskiddy 10:37, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
