[edit] Helpme

I can use some help here... I am working on a WikiPage concerning a Programming Language. I would like to add some SourceCode examples of different language features. The problem is that the Wiki Auto detection of code (the dashed box around it) is not always working. Sometimes it breaks up one code example into several boxes. Can you point me to an example or article that explains how to do it correctly? Also a RTF to WikiCode convertor would be great for SourceCode examples...

Thank you Very much! Talandor 09:59, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

There isn't any autodetection of code, it just that when a line starts with a space,
like this one,
it is shown with the crazy box; preformatting. So you just need to start each line with a space, like in the C++ example.
The tags <nowiki> and <code> and <pre> may also be useful. I'm not sure about an RTF to Wikicode converter, perhaps try googling or ask at the Help desk.--Commander Keane 10:06, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

I got permission and an image from the company who makes the Chrome Compiler to use the Chrome logo on the Wikipage I made. When I upload that image it gets deleted... Am I not allowed to do that?

My most sincere apologies for the long delay -- it seems nobody in the IRC channel is quite sure of a good answer for your question. Please post to the help desk for centralized discussion -- you're bound to get a better answer, there. :) Luna Santin 13:46, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
