Taloyoak, Nunavut

Taloyoak or Talurjuaq (Inuktitut syllabics: ᑕᓗᕐᔪᐊᕐᒃ, formerly known as Spence Bay until 1 July 1992) is located on the Boothia Peninsula in Canada's Nunavut Territory. The community is served only by air and by annual supply sealift. Taloyoak may mean "large blind", referring to a stone caribou blind or a screen used for seal hunting.

1981 population countings said 431. 1985: 452, 1986: 540, 1988 estimated: 540, 1991: 580; Population is 720 according to the 2001 Census.

Languages spoken are English and Inuktitut.
