Tally Solutions Ltd is a Bangalore-based financial accounting software company that currently sells into 88 countries beyond its native India, including the UK, and the Middle East, and supplies accounting software to customers such as Bajaj Auto, Maruti Udyog, Reserve Bank of India, Bharti Telecom, BPL group, Infosys and Wipro Technologies. Its market is so wide that all its comprtitors put together cannot beat its market. The company claims to have a 90% market share of SMEs (small and medium enterprises) in its home market. Between 1994 and 2003 the company won the PCQuest Customer's Choice award for Accounting software.

Founded in 1985 under the name of Peutronics by Bharat Goenka and his father Shyam Sunder Goenka, Tally's original software selling point was its simplicity; it lacked accounting codes, and small companies and single users found it easier to use. The name was changed in 1988. Bharat Goenka is today (2006) the company's Managing Director. For over a decade tally has constantly endeavouredto develop,a cutting edge technology product that has practical relevence to all business.
