Talking Back to the Night is the third solo album by blue-eyed soulster Steve Winwood. Released 18 months after the top 3 hit Arc of a Diver, it failed to see as much success as it predecessor. "Valerie" was a minor hit in 1982, but it was re-released in 1987, and became a top 10 hit. Winwood performed all of the instruments on the album.
