This episode is tribute to the noir genre and is narrated by a robot who was formerly a mafia-esque robot who became "good" after having emotions and adopting a puppy named Lulu. This show puts Jack in a somewhat negative light as we, the viewers, become emotionally attached to X9 and his quest to kill Jack in order to recover Lulu, who has been kidnapped by Aku. Jack kills X9 in the end, and the last words are "Please take care of Lulu" before dying.
