Talar

Talar is the architectural term given to the throne of the Persian monarchs which is carved on the rock-cut tomb of Darius at Nakst in Rustan, near Persepolis, and above the portico which was copied from his palace.
Today, the name "Talar" is common name for girls of middle-eastern or Armenian descent. One known name includes Talar Kupelian who currently resides in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Her family if of royal descent from the Persian Empire's royal family and currently enjoys a wealthy lifestyle.
