My hobby is house and occupant research of canal houses in Amsterdam. Of some canal houses and occupants much has been known, but I generally collect relevant information in tax books, stored in the municipal archives, in the literature or on internet. Research provided details concerning some Amsterdam mayors like Albert Burgh, also lemma's concerning a Duke of Brunswick, William IV, Prince of Orange, Princess Anne, William V, Prince of Orange and the dutch Patriots, a faction in the 18th century.

Further I listen to baroque operas. That interest has led to lemma's in the Dutch Wikipedia on Georg Friedrich Händel, Johann Mattheson, Reinhard Keiser, Pietro Ottoboni, Senesino, Johann Adolf Hasse, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, Carl Heinrich Graun, Christoph Graupner, Antonio Lotti, Alessandro Scarlatti, Cosimo III de' Medici, August the Strong and Christina of Sweden. (All in Dutch).

Since I am a guide in museum Geelvinck-Hinlopen House, I have been informed with the painters Gillis d'Hondecoeter, Melchior de Hondecoeter, Gabriel Metsu, Gerbrand van den Eeckhout, Meissen porcelain and Father d'Entrecolles.

Perhaps I will supply (or have added already) to the English Wikipedia on the following topics: Jan Lievens, Pieter Lastman, Emanuel de Witte, Jan Baptist Weenix, Jan Weenix, Jan van der Heyden.
