Takhtamukaysky District

Takhtamukaysky District (Russian: Тахтамукайский райо́н; Adyghe: Тэхъутэмыкъуай район) is one of the seven districts of the Republic of Adygea, Russia. The area of the district is 440 km²[citation needed]. Its administrative center is the aul (village) of Takhtamukay. District's population: 65,674 (2002 Census). Population of Takhtamukay accounts for 7.8% of the district's population.
