Takeo (武雄市; -shi) is a city located in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyūshū, Japan.
From the reports of 2005 Census, the city has an estimated population of 51,497. The total area is 195.44 km².
The city was founded on April 1, 1954.
On March 1, 2006, the city merged with the towns of Yamauchi and Kitagata from Kishima District to form the new city of Takeo.
