- His favorite band is L'Arc~en~Ciel
- In addition to Weiß, there are many anime series where at least 3 of the Weiss boys appear together, for example:
- Star Ocean EX: Dias Flac (Koyasu), Claude C. Kenni (Yuuki), Ashton Anchors (Seki)
- Air Master: Fukamichi (Koyasu), Tokita (Seki), Komata Shigeo (Miki)

- Sukisho: Yoru (Koyasu), Shinichirou (Miki) and Chris (Yuuki), the last one appearing only in the OAV.
- Interestingly, in the Angel Sanctuary drama CDs, all four members of Weiss voiced important secondary characters, with Koyasu as Kira Sakuya, Seki as Sandalphon, Miki as Katan and Yuki as Raziel.
- There was a moment when Koyasu & Midorikawa Hikaru were working simultaneosuly in three animes together as "rivals": The Slayers (Rezo & Zelgadis), Fushigi Yuugi (Hotohori & Tamahome) and Gundam Wing (Zechs & Heero). Ironically enough, the two of them collaborated once again as friends-turned-rivals when they voiced Shin Kazama (Koyasu) and Satoru Kanzaki (Midorikawa) in the 2004 remake of Area 88 and once again in the 2006 Super Robot Wars anime adaption Super Robot Wars Original Generation ~Divine Wars~ as Shuu Shirakawa (Koyasu) and Masaki Andoh (Midorikawa).
- Koyasu considers Midorikawa's voice "cute", and invited him to participate in Weiß Kreuz as one of the opposites of Weiss (the Schwarz group); here, Midorikawa plays Schuldig. Ironically, Koyasu's voice was considered "sexy" by Yazawa Ai, in her omake at the end of Volume 12 of NANA, where the characters were commenting about the PS2 game based on the manga (where Koyasu voices Ichinose Takumi).
- Koyasu plays the dominant gay partner to Midorikawa's male character in a BL (Boy's Love) drama CD, Renai ala Carte.
- In Sukisho, Koyasu plays Yoru, the alter ego of Midorikawa's character Sora.
- He's also the creator of the Weiß series, and has authored the manga Weiβ Side B.
- He has voiced 2 famous characters from the Sengoku period of Japan.
- In the video game Sengoku Basara, he voices Sarutobi Sasuke.
- In the anime Samurai Deeper Kyo, he voices Tokugawa Ieyasu (under the guise of "Hattori Hanzo").
- He has appeared in at least 4 roles with Hoshi Soichiro whereby both of their characters are close friends/comrades. Their most (in)famous collaboration probably would be Get Backers, with Soichiro as Fuuchouin Kazuki and Takehito as Kakei Jubei. The others are in the Gundam Seed series, with Takehito as Mu La Flaga and Soichiro as Kira Yamato; the game Sengoku Basara, with Soichiro as Sanada Yukimura and Takehito as Sarutobi Sasuke; and in the Xenosaga series of games, with Takehito as Tony and Soichiro as chaos.
- He has also voiced 2 "masked" characters in different Gundam timelines.
- In Gundam Wing, as Zechs Merquise.
- In Gundam Seed Destiny, as Neo Roanoke.
- In creating Weiß Kreuz, Koyasu was inspired by an old Japanese series called "Sure Death".
- In his youth, Koyasu remembers a student teacher who "saved him" from his delinquent days.
- In "Kaikan Phrase", Koyasu does not play any role. However, he does sing at least two songs for the series.
