Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited (武田薬品工業株式会社 Takeda Yakuhin Kōgyō Kabushiki-gaisha?) (TYO: 4502 ) is the largest pharmaceutical company in Japan, with overseas business offices in Europe and in the United States. Their North American subsidiary, Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America, Inc., is based in Lincolnshire, Illinois. Global research and development is also based in Lincolnshire. North American headquarters were previously located in Lincolnshire, but moved in October,2006 to a new headquarters in Deerfield, Illinois.

One of their mainstay drugs is Actos, a compound used in the treatment of certain types of diabetes.
