Take home (professional wrestling)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Take home refers to the final spot of a professional wrestling match.
"Take it home" is the signal for the take home spot to begin.
Often, the finish will involve the trademark maneuver of the winner, e.g. Stone Cold Steve Austin's Stunner followed by the pin. Sone wrestlers are sometimes known for a series of moves they produce to 'take home' the match, such as John Cena's '6 Moves of Doom'.
Finishes can get more complex depending on how they will further an angle. It can include "screwjob" finishes, where someone outside of the initial competitors has an impact on who wins. Dusty Rhodes is infamous for his use of complicated take home spots.
