"Take Control" is the first single to be released from Amerie's 2007 album Because I Love It. The video is set to be shot in the end of October and premiered on the internet on December 3rd.

The song contains a sampled guitar loop from Tom Ze's "Jimmy Renda-Se" and sampled vocals from "You Make My Dreams" by Hall & Oates. It also features background vocals from Cee-Lo.
