Takashi Matsumoto (松本隆, born July 16, 1949 in Minato, Tokyo -) is a Japanese lyricist. He is a former member of Happy End for which he played the drums and wrote lyrics.

He was most prolific in late 70's and 80's, offering lyrics to many idol singers such as Agnes Chan, Seiko Matsuda, Kyoko Koizumi, Miho Nakayama and Hiroko Yakushimaru as well as musical artists such as Yellow Magic Orchestra.

He is a Keio University graduate.
