Takamine Guitars

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Takamine is a Japanese guitar manufacturer based in Nakatsugawa, Gifu, Japan. Takamine is a maker of both electric and acoustic guitars and is highly regarded for its high quality and affordable prices.

Takamine was sued by Martin Guitars in the early 1980s because Takamine's acoustic guitars were supposedly nearly identical to Martin Models.

In particular, the 'G' Series provides affordable high quality guitars of professional standards with few disadvantages from Takamine's other more premium products.

Noel Gallagher once played a Takamine electric acoustic guitar on Oasis's 'MTV Unplugged' session.
