Tai Mei Tuk

Tai Mei Tuk (大尾篤; also 大尾督 or 大美督) is a place close to the Plover Cove Reservoir in Tai Po District, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is a very popular place in Hong Kong for barbecues and cycling. The villages nearby harbour numerous restaurants. Bicycles are also available to rent in the villages.
The Tai Mei Tuk Sea Activity Centre of the Scout Association of Hong Kong is located in the area and also provides sea Scouting activities in Hong Kong.
Tai Mei Tuk mean the very end in Cantonese language which depicts the landscape. The homonym character 篤(tuk) is borrowed to the name. Recent Cantonese research suggested that the correct character is (𢽚; Unicode U+22F5A).
