Tahrirolvasyleh

Tahrirolvasyleh (Arabic script تحرير الوسيلة, also transcribed as Tahrir-ul-Vaseela or Tahrir al-wasilah) is a book (in two volumes) allegedly authored by Ayatollah Khomeini as a guide for Muslims. It was said to be written by Khomeini while he was in Turkey and later on in Najaf [1] but the exact degree of his personal authorship is not fully clear.
The book stands in a tradition of commentaries on Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) which are commonly written by high Shia clerics who bear the title of Marja. As such, it contains highly conventionalised compilations of traditional rulings on Islamic life and morality. This contrasts sharply with other works by Khomeini, which contain more novel and controversial accounts of his theological and political stances.
The book has been the target of some polemics by some critics of Khomeini. They have alleged that certain passages within the fourth volume of this book sanction sexual practices such as sex with animals or with children.
The image on the right was presented by the Homa Darabi website[2] as evidence that there is a "fourth volume" of the book.
Shi'ite scholars deny that there is a fourth volume[3].
