Tagak Curley

Tagak Curley (born:1953) is a politician and businessman from northern Canada.
He was born at a hunting camp at Coral Harbor, Nunavut.
Tagak has served on the executive boards of numerous northern corporations.
He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Northwest Territories from 1979 to 1987. During his time in the legislature he served as Minister of Economic Development.
In the 2004 Nunavut general election, Tagak Curley was acclaimed for the riding of Rankin Inlet North. He re-entered electoral politics to help preserve the traditional definition of marriage.
He challenged to become premier of Nunavut after the election, but lost to Paul Okalik who won his second term.
