Talk:Tabular Data Stream

It is public domain text, but I don't know how to righteously site it within the main wiki page.

[edit] Confusing content

There are two items in the article I found rather confusing:

  1. The first paragraph concludes with "It confuses many but entrances a few. Given the context, it is not immediately clear what the Subject ('It') and the objects ('many', 'few') are referring to. Is the subject referring to the difficulty associated with grasping the concept of the protocol? Or is the protocol is being personified (i.e. it is so confused, that "bits on the wire" are inadvertently lost before the data arrives at the destination?)
  2. Are the references in the article to netlib referring to the scientific, Fortran-based, computer libraries? Given the context, I wonder if the article was referring to another set of libraries under that name.

If you are conversant with the subject, please feel free to correct any content that is in error. Alternatively, you may choose to post your responses to this matter either on this page or my talk page, if you so wish.
