Talk:Table of divisors

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I just made major changes to this article:

  • used new wikicode for tables (and further simplifications) to reduce size of source by almost 50%
  • removed the "double-columning" (or "side-by-side" tables, or whatever) and the colors that were mostly useful just to help read the complicated table
  • split into ten separate tables, each covering a range of 100 integers; these can be put into separate articles to further cut down on page size, or easily modified to create 5 (every 200 numbers) or even 4 (every 250) such pages, whatever seems best
  • replicated table headers every 20 rows to facilitate scanning
  • removed the use of special character formatting and superscripts to denote deficient, abundant and perfect numbers (I think this info should be obvious on first glance)
  • changed the key as appropriate

My apologies to Jacquerie27, but I really think the simpler, colorless tables are a lot easier to read. I have no plans at the moment to do similar edits on the Table of prime factors, but I think it really needs it.

[edit] redlink removal

All the links to numbers that fail to meet the WP:NUM criteria should be removed! Xtifr tälk 09:37, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
