Tableaux de Provence

Tableaux de Provence (1956) (Pictures of Provence) is a programmatic work by Paule Maurice written for solo Alto Saxophone and Orchestra (or piano).

The piece has five movements:

  • Farandoulo di Chatouno (Dance of the Young Girls)
  • Cansoun per Ma Mio (Song for my Love)
  • La Boumiano (The Bohemian Woman or The Gypsy)
  • Dis Alyscamps l'Amo Souspire (A Sigh of the Soul for the Alyscamps)
  • Lou Cabridan
