[edit] POV

The current article is Seshan worship;nothing else.He was a very controversial figure, and this article lacks even a single one of them.I am adding a POV tag.--Sahodaran 17:41, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Please go ahead and add anything you find relevant. I am sure there are hordes of them. Adding of POV becuase of personal bias doesnt help -- natarajanganesan

The fact that I wont be able to find time to set aside to contribute to the article doesnt mean that the article is not POV.The article is incomplete, and the facts that are present here and absent here are not just coincidential but deliberate so as to give an article a definite POV,glorification of Seshan.Someone who is reading the article will get a feel that Seshan was such a great man, with so little criticism. This is a man with so much,so much criticism against him and his policies.I'll wait for your reply before adding the POV tag.Thanks.--Sahodaran 04:05, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Seshan has only had detractors and the article must duly mention them. However, care must be taken to maintain a neutral line and present him for what he was. Adding a POV would only make sense (in my opinion) when the article rightfully contains strong contradicting opinions (which I agree has not been the case so far). So one should take pains to incorporate the exact nature of criticisms leveled against him, include pieces that dissect his work completely. Since that is going to take a while, what can be done is give a brief introduction about his colorful life. You may add from your knowledgebase (like Indian Editorials, Foreign press coverings). When these add up to contradict each other (yet rightfully) POV status can be added You may go ahead and POV it and I dont want to be involved in this arbitrary game without good discussion. -- natarajanganesan
