T. Claude Ryan

Tubal Claude Ryan (January 3, 1898- September 11, 1982) was an American aviator born in Parsons, Kansas. T. Claude Ryan was best known for founding, in 1922, the Ryan Flying Company. The Ryan Flying Company started the first all-year airplane passenger service in the United States in 1925, running from San Diego, California to Los Angeles, California. The company's first aircraft, M-1 Mailplane developed in 1926, was the first production monoplane in the country, and provided the design basis for Charles Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis.
