T'Surakmaat in Modern Golic Vulcan means, "a Vulcan female of the clan of Surak".

I entered the wikipedia fray due to two illogical people who have linked the life of The Father of Vulcan Logic to two fictional "supreme beings"; i.e., Jesus Christ and the Buddha.

While the Buddha is a fictional character, much of what the Buddha wrote is logical.  However, since the Buddha is fictional, no one can prove that the Buddha actually wrote the texts used in Buddhism.

Jesus Christ, on the other hand, is not only fictional, he believed in the occasional war against unbelievers (à la Mohammed and Islam).  Surak was a man of peace, who hoped that his Logic would bring peace to the Vulcan people.  Thus, these fictional characters Jesus Christ and Surak were polar opposites.

I note with some amazement how people that have adopted a belief system feel compelled to insert their belief system into everything they see, and proselytize others into believing their belief system.

Personally, I follow the advice of the late physicist Richard Feynman, who wrote:

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for nature cannot be fooled."

Feynman's statement was based on logic.  There's that age-old adage, "you can't fool mother nature" (altho one can logically argue whether Nature is female).  The wikipedia editor "OldRightist", who has clearly stated his prejudice by defining the state of matrimony as being "between a man and a woman", is not proceeding logically by attempting to link the Father of Vulcan Logic to a fictional character such as Jesus Christ.  Ditto the wikipedia editor who attempted to link Surak to the Buddha.

Prove to me that either one of these fictional "supreme beings" exist or existed, and i'll withdraw my wikipedia amends.  Until then, my comments should stand.

It's the only logical thing to do.
