T-72Z Safir-74

The T-72Z Safir-74 is a tank type developed in Iran based on upgrading the Chinese Type 59 tank, which was in turn based on the Soviet T-54 battle tank.
Iran has developed a suite of explosive reactive armor (ERA) that will fit on the T-72Z.
This tank should not be confused with the Soviet Red Army T-72 MBT.
