Talk:Tōkaidō Shinkansen

Regarding train types: First it is unclear regarding Nozomi. In one sentence it is said to be the slowest, in another sentence Nozomi cut the travelling time, accordingly should be faster.
Second: What I saw (in 1972) was: Hikari stopped only at two stations, Nagoya and Kyoto. Kodama stopped at every station. Hikari started exactly every ten minutes, Kodama at five minutes in between. When e.g. Kodama was standing on one track in Shin Yokohama station, Hikari was passing with full speed on the other. Speed between stations of both was same. If Hikari were faster, it would run into the back of next Kodama. Could somebody update including latest trains pls. --Hans W 13:39, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
