Synchrophasotron

A synchrophasotron (a.k.a. proton synchrotron) is a type of the synchrotron that accelerates protons to several GeVs (gigaelectronvolt). It has fixed-orbit radius, magnetic field that increases with time and variable frequency of accelerating voltage.
