Symphony X (1994) |
The Damnation Game (1995) |
Symphony X is the first album by the band of the same name. Many Progressive Metal and Symphony X fans consider this to be their least appreciated album, due to relatively poor production and the lack of Russell Allen, whom with Michael Romeo would define the "Symphony X" sound.

[edit] Re-recording
Because the Symphony X album is not entirely what it was supposed to be, rumours of a re-recording emerged in 2002. The result was to be expected in 2003/4, but nothing happened so far, although guitarist Michael Romeo has confirmed the idea of rerecording some of the songs. One track already has been re-recorded: Masquerade '98 is featured on Prelude to the Millennium and on the limited edition of The Odyssey.
A reissue of the album was released in 2004, however, all the original tracks remained untouched.
