Sylvia Young Theatre School

Sylvia Young Theatre School is a stage school, in Marylebone, London. The school's founder and Principal is Dame Sylvia Young.
The school was originally established in 1981 on Drury Lane, but due to expansion it moved to its current premises in 1983. Students either attend full-time with board, Saturday or evening classes or holiday school. Full time fees for 2006-07 range from £2,000 a term (£6,000 a year) to £2,800 a term (£8,400 a year) depending on the child's age.
The school admits both boys and girls from the ages of 10 through to 16. The school provides a clear focus on performing arts (drama, singing and dancing), but full-time students receive education and examination in all areas of the GCSE curriculum. Entry to the school is gained by audition in drama, singing and dance, with an interview and written assessment.
