Sydney Jacobson, Baron Jacobson

Sydney Jacobson, Baron Jacobson, (26 October 1908 - 13 September 1988) was a British journalist and political commentator.
Baptised with the name of Sydney Jacobsohn, he worked as political editor for the Daily Mirror, being also editorial director of IPC Newspapers. Ten years later he changed as editor to the Daily Herald and its replacement The Sun, becoming editorial director in 1965.
On 16 July 1975, Jacobson was made a life peer as Baron Jacobson, of St Albans in the County of Hertfordshire.
