A sword-breaker is a medieval English dagger or knife with deep teeth on the back side designed to catch the blade of an opponent's sword. Once caught, the sword could either be broken or wrenched from the opponent's grip.

It is one of the best of the knives in the video game Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and also allows you to steal an opponent's weapon.
It is used by a minor character in book 3 of the book series The Banned and the Banished.
It is used by a minor character in book 2 of the book series The Wheel of Time.
