[edit] VMK profile
I think it's okay to use a specific player's profile in that image (and I picked qruthie just because she was convenient when I was looking for a profile to put up; I'm not playing favorites). If an edit war breaks out, or if people try to use the article to advertise their own stuff, then we'll deal with it; but so far there hasn't been any such problem. I can understand your desire to edit the image to blank out any personal details, but I really don't think that's necessary - I think it's better to have the image accurately reflect what's in the game. If this *does* become a problem, then let's follow up on your suggestion to find a Guest profile, with text and a good selection of pins. (Do you know of any precedent for how this sort of thing is handled in other articles which show identifying information for characters in MMO games?) - Brian Kendig 13:33, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Vmk-profile.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Vmk-profile.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 18:35, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
