The Swiss Democrats (Schweizer Demokraten, Démocrates Suisses, Democratici Svizzeri) is a right-wing (some say far-right) political party in Switzerland. At the last legislative elections, 19 October 2003, the party won 1.0% of the popular vote and 1 out of 200 seats. Many of the party's members are former Swiss People's Party members that are disappointed about the light neoliberal swing in the SVP.

[edit] Policy Outline

The Swiss Democrats favour rapid Swiss withdrawal from all international treaties and organisations. They also support a controlled decrease in immigration. The party also supports conservative family values such as women staying home, taking care of children and men earning money for the family.
