Sweeney Schriner

David "Sweeney" Schriner (Born - November 30, 1911 in Saratov, Russia - Died - July 4, 1990) was a Canadian professional hockey forward who played 11 seasons in the National Hockey League for the New York Americans and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Sweeney was the NHL scoring leader in 1935-36 and 1936-37. He was named Rookie of the Year in 1935. He won 2 Stanley Cups with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1941-42 and 1944-45. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1962.
