Swedish national bandy team

The Swedish national bandy team have been taking part in bandy world championship since the start in 1957. The team has never finished worse than third place and have won the championship 8 times as of 2006. Sweden won the first ever world championship for women in 2004.
In the 2006 World Championship, Sweden came in second place.
The record for senior men's senior team appearances for the Swedish national bandy team is held by former Västerås SK Bandy, Falu BS and IFK Vänersborg player Per Fosshaug, who played for the team 129 times.
