Swansea observatory

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Swansea observatory (also known as the Marina Towers Observatory) is located in the Maritime Quarter of Swansea, south Wales. It is home to Wales's largest telescope. In 1993 it was loaned to the Swansea Astronomical Society who currently operate it.

The top of the tower has a stained glass feature. Observational facilities include a large Shafer-Maksutov telescope - the second largest of its kind in the world.
