Swalmen (pronunciation (help·info), Limburgish and town dialect: Zjwame) is a municipality and a town in the southeastern Netherlands. The town is situated between the German border and the Meuse river (Maas in Dutch). It has a rich history, of which the originally Roman 'Rozenkerkje' church in Asselt is a silent witness.

Many monuments are found in Swalmen, most notable the Hillenraad castle, and castle farms Graeterhof and Zuidewijk Spick. The area attracts tourists (mostly Germans) for its peaceful surroundings, asparagus, conference centre Landgoed Groenewoud and local swimming pool de Bosberg.
