[edit] licencing
This image is based on svg.svg, only using a ball to illustrate the gradient effect. The original was released into public domain, so perhaps this image should be public domain too? This because this isn't really a screenshot of wikipedia (current licence). Cristan 10:15, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yes you are right, the current license as listed is not correct. Can you correct it please? Thanks! dr.ef.tymac 16:56, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- Follow-up: In fact, why not just delete this image and follow your original idea of replacing svg.svg? dr.ef.tymac 16:57, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- This indeed tackles the licensing as well and I don't see any reason why not to. I suggest that you'll be the one to do so, because you are the creator of the edited version. Cristan 20:10, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- edit-Never mind. I didn't see your reply below. Cristan 20:12, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] original image
Why not change svg.svg to this version? I can't see any reason why not, there wouldn't be any licencing difficulties and it will have a more usable filename. And all other wikipedia's will also have a less abstract demonstration of the gradient function. Cristan 10:28, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- Go for it. At the time I would have done it myself, but was experiencing technical difficulties. I agree with your rationale. dr.ef.tymac 16:54, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
