Sverre Farstad (born 8 February 1920 in Trondheim, Norway – died 27 March 1978) was a speed skater representing Sportsclub Falken, Trondheim.
Farstad became Olympic Champion on the 1,500 m at the 1948 Winter Olympics. He became European Champion in 1949 and won the silver medal at the 1947 World Allround Championships. In 1949, Farstad broke the world record in the big combination (500 m – 1,500 m – 5,000 m – 10,000 m).
In addition, he won a Norwegian Championships silver medal in weightlifting and a gold medal in rowing, and was awarded the 1947 Egebergs Ærespris.
